Have Man Utd become a boring team?

I was watching the Utd & Chelsea game on sky sports & during the ysis afterword Ray Wilkins & Graeme Souness were discussing this Utd team. They both stated that this team was not Fergies most adventurous & teams before were more cavalier. They were using phrases like digging in & grinding out results. So are they suggesting that Utd are boring? I mean with players like Rooney, Nani, Valencia in your team...thats hardly boring.
